Only 05 work on my system when I flashed to 0706 or 0802 motherboard get stuck in Bios is Updating after the POST.ASUS should delete those bios from their site and do a better job. It works without hiccups and has solved quite a few problems for many users. It works without hiccups and has solved quite a few problems for many users. If your system is stable with a specific BIOS version, just stick with that one. If your system is stable with a specific BIOS version, just stick with that one. If 0802 is good why my motherboard can't take it, I reset the CMOS and flashed the motherboard with the 0802 and still having the same issue '' Bios is Updating" Looping issue.Do not shut down or reset the system to prevent system bootup failure. The Q-Code is 90 So far it's over an hour and still waiting. If the above steps do not reset the CMOS settings, we suggest removing the CMOS battery, like the one in the picture, causing the computer to forget all CMOS settings, including the password.
Wait 5 minutes after removing the battery, then put the battery back into the motherboard and turn on the computer.
Mine did that once and I read that if you have something connected to your front panel usb 3 port then that can cause it. I noticed my profile that I made was gone and since then no more problems by shutting down 5 times on the trot and no more messages. Only got this new Rampage V Extreme for little over a week and it's been a pain. I had the same issue I updated my bios from 0503 to 0802 and my system was looping BIOS IS UPDATING and never finished.
EDIT: I took out the cpu and inspected for bent pins carefully. I flashback the bios to 0503 to get the system working again.
How are you updating your BIOS and where are you downloading it from?
I downloaded the bios from this link: flashed the bios using EZ Bios on Windows, EZ Flash 2 from the Bios and the Flashback Bios option too.
Once the above is done, press the F10 key and Save and Exit CMOS setup.
