Restore ipod to factory settings without updating

At this point, your i Pod touch displays a Hello screen.

However, with Samg_is_a_Ninja’s new tool called Succession, you can unjailbreak and restore to factory settings without updating! Before you begin, make a backup of your data on the i Pod because it will all be erased during the Restore process.First, check for any i OS software updates and install the updates on your i Pod touch. You can backup to i Cloud or to i Tunes on your computer.Apple doesn't release updates to the operating system that powers the i Pod as often as it does for the i Phone. That makes sense; fewer i Pods are sold these days and new models come out less frequently, so there are fewer changes to make.Restoring your i Pod erases all of its data and settings and returns it to the state it was in when you first got it.

After it's been restored, then you can update the operating system.

The computer recognizes the i Pod Touch as a new device after 10 seconds.

The Apple logo displays on the device, and then a blank screen displays. A prompt opens in i Tunes, asking if you want to restore the device.

The Chimera jailbreak app also has a built-in function to restore only the jailbreak back to its original state.

Doing this would allow you to remove all jailbreak tweaks/apps while retaining all other data on your device.

It works on the i Phone, i Pod touch or i Pad and doesn’t even require you to use a computer.
